And was especially impressed by the attitude and stoicism of Siobhan – a load of flack directed at the council’s Children’s Department, but with such people as her, it cannot avoid anyone on any objective basis pointing the finger at the council as such for its failure to provide an adequacy of funding or motivated staff support.

Whatever the result of this choral contest, all credit to the choristers – they came across well as the victims of adversity and doing whatever they could to overcome it.
