In the West Midlands, the PCC has the experience and intellect to perform and achieve results and is doing just that. The new office is being running more efficiently and cost effectively and the PCC Bob Jones has gone out into the community and energised public interest and participation.

Having observed for many years the functioning of the former West Midlands Police Authority, I am of the opinion that Professor Amann should be grateful that he now has more time time to concentrate on academia.

I am happy that the PCC in the West Midlands has concentrated on improving the efficiency of the Police and introduction of new technology, rather than the ‘ privatisation’ of our police force.
