Autumn Statement date confirmed

The Government has announced that the Autumn Statement will take place on 3 December.

HM Treasury is seeking views on what stakeholders would like to see in Autumn Statement 2014.

The Treasury says that, “in the interest of open and transparent policy-making,” it welcomes original and innovative ideas, which will be considered as part of the policy-making process.

Business, charities and members of the public can submit these views via email to  by 17 October.

The Autumn Statement will be one of the milestone political events in the lead up to the General Election campaign in May 2015.
