I’m sure your experience makes you all too aware of the secrecy preferred by this and earlier administrations.

As ever, Council credibility is on the line, but now there’s a larger group of people paying attention, and who refuse to be palmed off with any of the excuses produced by execs, legal services, or others.

Bit I doubt if Bore would have said this publicly unless £20m cut agreed with Capita. In which case, why not cut now and save £1.5m a month? Would help districts under severe pressure. No need to wait for next municipal year if deal done.
