Six English county councils have larger populations, all are obviously far bigger in area, Cornwall has more elected members. In Europe, Paris has more than twice the population and 163 members, Madrid has more than three times the population ……. it sounded pretentious from the former Council Leader, and with his going it would be a good time to stop it.
