The wait in replacing their leader is only undermining the Birmingham Conservatives as a credible opposition.

Will Baron Whitby still have such a beaming smile on his face when the Conservatives lose even more council seats in Birmingham as he holds on to the leadership post May 2014.

Politically I support Lord Whitby staying on as the potential consequence is reduction in Conservative seats in Birmingham and why not, if the old guard cannot see the benefit in selecting Cllr. Alden now then upon their heads be it.
