Interesting blog, Paul - especially the bit about the allowances structure having to change to reflect a smaller council. The actual quote came, I think, from Ms Cooper's 2010-11 report, not the most recent one, but either way it would have been looking forward to the May 2012 Mayoral referendum, and what could have been a dramatic change in the whole operation of the Council. Is your blog suggesting the 120-member size of the Council is still a live issue? If so, I think we should be told!
