Sir Albert Bore ties the knot with his lady
Sir Albert Bore has taken advantage of the local government summer break to get married.
The leader of Birmingham city council finally tied the knot with fellow Labour councillor Victoria Quinn after an eight-year relationship.
Sir Albert, a prominent supporter of elected mayors, chose to have the ceremony at Highbury Hall, Joseph Chamberlain’s ancestral home in Birmingham.
Family, close friends and most of the council cabinet attended.
Sir Albert had two best men, his sons from a previous marriage.
It’s believed that the couple will head off for a honeymoon next weekend, but the destination is a secret and Sir Albert has admitted that he’s simply told his new wife that they are going abroad.
Sir Albert has been the leader of the Labour group on Birmingham city council since 1999.
He led the council between 1999 and 2004 and since 2012.
Chamberlain News and RJF Public Affairs wishes Sir Albert and Lady Bore all the best for the future.
