A few weeks ago Bore’s mate Tony Smith – who also works at Birmingham City Council – tried to have a go and got into a spirited debate over Capita with the professor on twitter, during which Mr Smith highlighted Ian Ward’s words at consultation meetings that cancelling Capita was now an option.

This seemed to catch the Birmingham City Council press office on the hop, as it didn’t know this was ‘out there’. Mr Smith has been somewhat quiet on twitter of late. One suspects he has been told to be more discreet.
