There is absolutely nothing I have read anywhere that explains to me how or when this proposed white elephant will
(a) ensure I get a seat on a train, and, critically
(b) will be affordable.
Everything I see and read and hear about HS2 is that it is not for the likes of “ordinary” people (with less disposable income), to get from Birmingham to London. In short, all you blinkered enthusiasts, What’s in it for me? Because I am damned sure I won’t be able to afford HS2 travel. And I don’t see its introduction signalling any reduction in the the fares I have to pay for the current type of travel arrangements which we plebs (no apologies to any local MPs) are obliged to use.

its our money not theirs -of course they are in favour -I say use face time and Skype -save money on fares now and in the future -we need that money locally for essential services not so rich business vulture capitalist types can speed past us and keep ignoring us !
